Is a 10k Run hard?

If you’ve never run before, or haven’t run in many years, you’re most likely not going to be able to go out and run a 10k tomorrow! However, while completing a 10k run is a great achievement, it’s certainly not too hard. With the right training program and preparation, running a 10k is absolutely achievable!

Can the average person run a 10k?

The average person most definitely can run a 10k. Maybe not right away, but with only 6 weeks of training we’re confident anyone can go from couch to 10k. In fact, we’re so confident that we’ve put together a beginner friendly training program that will take you from the couch, to running 10k in just 6 weeks! From Couch to 10k, in just 6 weeks.

What’s a good time for the 10k Run?

For a casual runner, a good time is somewhere between 50 and 70 minutes. Everything within this range is perfectly acceptable. For a strong runner that keeps up well with diet and healthy habits, somewhere between 40 and 50 minutes is a great time.

What is a good beginner time for a 10k Run?

For someone trying to crack their first 10k, aim for 70 minutes. Obviously listen to your body, and run to a sustainable and healthy pace, but if you can break through the 70 minute mark you’re doing really well.

What’s the current record for the 10k Run?

The current men’s world record for the 10k run is a blisteringly fast 26 minutes and 24 seconds (26:24) set by Rhonex Kipruto in Valencia in 2020. The women’s world record is currently held by Joyciline Jepkosgei with a time of 29:43, set in 2017 at Praha.
