Midlands Air Ambulance Charity delivers exceptional pre-hospital care and lifesaving interventions through its helicopter-led emergency medical services (HEMS).
We're delighted to have Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as our 2026 Charity of the Year. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity rapidly brings advanced skills, medicines and hospital-level equipment to the patient at the scene of the incident, giving them the best possible chance of survival and recovery. They cover six counties within the Midlands; Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. With a population of more than six million people and a busy motorway network bringing more people to the region, this constitutes the largest air ambulance operating patch within the UK. Soak up the sunshine and support a worthy cause at the Birmingham Running Festival on Sunday 10th May 2026. With routes winding through the beautiful Sutton Park, this Springtime edition includes 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Junior races, that are perfect for all ages and abilities.

Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to Birmingham!
