ROAD CLOSED course taking in the famous landmarks of Gateshead including Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, BALTIC, Tyne Bridge, Swing Bridge and finishing in the iconic Gateshead International Stadium.

Gateshead International Stadium is the third largest sporting venue in Tyne and Wear and the North East's only IAAF-standard athletics stadium. The venue has hosted IAAF Diamond & Golden League Athletics and the European Cup featuring the superstars of athletics. You will be joining many World Champions & Olympians have crossed the finish line at Gateshead International Stadium where five world records broken in track and field on the famous track.

Join us for this ROAD CLOSED half marathon, starting and finishing in the world famous Gateshead International Stadium. The course heads down to the picturesque Quayside area and will pass the iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, BALTIC Centre For Contemporary Arts, run under the iconic Tyne Bridge and past the historic Swing Bridge before turning back to pass these landmarks again. The course finishes by entering the world famous Gateshead International Stadium, running around the track and crossing the finish line. 

**There is a 3 hour cut off due to road closures**

Each mile is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.
